At Bentley University it has been a long road to win union protections for adjunct faculty. More than three years since we started organizing our union, we are still negotiating our first contract.
For adjuncts at Bentley our salary is capped at $20,000 without benefits for teaching four courses in the academic year and we haven’t had a raise in three years. We have no idea if we’ll have a job from one semester to the next, so many of us are forced to work multiple jobs to scrape together a living.
This has to change!
Join us on Monday, July 25th at 4:00pm as we protest at Bentley’s Center for Business Ethics 40th Anniversary Celebration.
It is time that Bentley’s professed dedication to business ethics, social responsibility and education is reflected in the way it treat its faculty! We can’t remain silent about this hypocrisy — will you stand with us?
